There she was, standing there, open. The she cat with that pretty honey colored pelt stood outside of the horse pen, where the horses hooves thundered past. At first the noise had spooked her, but hanging around here so often had gotten her used to it. Honeydreamy looked up to the horses where three of them ran, a brown one with black hair, a white one, and a black one. They were all pretty that was sure, but she thought they did not match her looks. Her den lay near, beside the barn was a low fern where she called home. It wasn't much, only able to fit two adults and three kits, but it was plenty of room for her. She swung her head around at the sound of pawsteps approaching. The she cat found herself staring into another cat.

Goldhue padded up to Honeydream and purred softly in her ear. "How are you?" He meowed, licking her ear gently. He missed the she-cat deeply and he was always gone that he really had no time to spend with her. His tail lashed back and forth and his ear twitched. He burried his muzzle in her cheek and breathed in her sweet scent.

She would not show the other tom, but she was thankful he was there. She was beginning to worry about him, he had been gone so long. "Where have you been Goldhue?" He was always running around, doing things that even she had no idea about. She wanted to go with him, but was unsure that was an option.

Goldhue looked at her. Did she think that he was messing around with some other she-cat? He would never do something so cruel like that to her. "I've been keeping my eye on my father, Rabbithide, out by ThunderClan. You know how long it takes to go from here to there." He meowed, flicking his tail in the direction of ThunderClan. "He's getting older and older by the moon." He purred, hopping to lighten her spirits. His gaze became serious this time. "Do you think that I was with some other she-cat?" He meowed, a bit sadden and confused.

That was true, his father was getting pretty old. It did take a while to get to Thunderclan from the horseplace, having to cross Windclan territory. Her head shot up suddenly as he said his next words. She never realised that she had let her sadness show. Of course she didn't think that he was seeing another she cat, that was ridiculous. "Of course I don't Goldhue." She sat beside the tom and rubbed against him.

He smiled at her, a sign of relief on his face. If he would ever have to leave her, it would never be for another she-cat. It would be when he would die. But still, even then, he would never really be gone, now would he? He rasped his tongue over her ear and purred. He loved her alot and would never want anything to happen to her. He intertwined his tail with hers and meowed, "I'll try to be around alot more now, but if I'm not, then I swear to you, I'm only out to see Rabbithide." He licked her ear again. "Maybe you can go with me next time, if you feel up to it." He wondered what she would say, if she would say yes or would say that she would like to wait here for him every day until he got back, never knowing if he would.

The honey she cat smiled softly to the tom. He was kind and sweet. She trusted him and his word. She had never met Rabbithide before and it would be nice to meet his father. Both of her parents were dead. She missed them dearly. "I'll come with you if that's ok with you. It would be nice to meet your father."
My sis is being a jerk right now so I can't do the things I regularly do with my posts, sorry.

Goldhue smiled at her and meowed, "Well, I want to stay here with you for a bit longer. For about a moon until we leave." He meowed. "But I want you to be carefull." He meowed, rasping his tongue between her ears.

She smiled at him, glad to hear that he was staying for a moon. She rubbed against his cheek, then looked at her fern home. It wasn't much, able to fit a small family. She looked at Goldhue once more, flicking her tail for him to follow her. She disappeared behide the fern, surrounded by other ferns to make it look like a small den the clan cats used. It was dark inside, with two nests.

Goldhue followed behind his mate closely, his fur brushing against hers. If he had to choose between leaving for some random she-cat or staying with Honeydream, he would choose to stay at Honeydream's side for eternity. He padded into the ferns of the small den and layed down in one of the nest, purring now that he had finally gotten to lay down and rest for a while. He looked over to her, and meowed, "I love you, Honeydream." He purred softly.

She watched as the cat she had fallen in love with settled himself in one of the nests. She padded up to him and licked his ear. "I love you to, Goldhue." Honeydream then settled herself in the nest beside him. She curled her light golden brown, almost a honey color, around her feet. The she cat then rested her head in the nest.
