Dark brown fur ruffled in the warm breeze as Barkmask sunned himself on a rock near the Medicine Cat den. Sitting up, the young tabby warrior looked out at ThunderClan's camp. A certain apprentice's name flashed in the tom's thoughts. "Meadowpaw." He murmered grinning. He looked around to see if the young she-cat was here.
-crappy title I know. xD.-

Through the bushes, behind the brambles of the Warriors den crept a small she-cat, her golden fur lighting up in the sun, yet shaded by the ferns of the bushes all the same. She slowly and quietly pawed her way forward, putting a distance between her paws time wise as she crouched foward some more. Her green eyes narrowed and her tail perfectly still other than the slight twitch of her tail tip, she laid her eyes on Rabbithide's tail, which lashed around continulessly. She was about to pounce on the soon to be elders tail when she heard someone say her name in a soft and sweet voice. Moving her eyes toward the sound, he gaze rested on him. She loved him, though she was just starting out as an apprentice, she knew what love was and what it felt like, her heart broken by another fellow rank. Rabbithide had left to go on a hunting patrol when she looked back and flicked her ear, getting over the loss of her target. She slowly crept her way over to Barkmask from behind him, carefull and soft, gentle when it came to the sticks and stones. Carefully coming out of the fronds, trying her best to not make them rustle to loud, she came out between him and the camp wall. Once she was ready, she positioned herself into a hunting crouch and lept, hoping to catch her large prey.

A russle in the ferns behind him made Barkmask turn around. Hidden in the depths of the forest green plants, crouched a golden she-cat. A wave of emotion swept over the young tom but he made sure not to show it. "You can come out now Meadowpaw. I heard you and now I see you." Barkmask purred. The big warrior pushed the fern fronds aside, seeing the apprentice clearer now. A stream of sunlight slipped through the tree tops, shining down on Meadowpaw's beautiful back. The way it shone; it made Barkmask love the young apprentice even more. She was so beautiful; a tom like him shouldn't deserve a cat like her.

Meadowpaw fell forward, noticing that she had lept out earlier than she should have, brushing her fur past his when she lept and fell upon the ground. She looked up to Barkmask, a small and embaressing smile on her face. She laughed happily and pulled herself up, jumping in place, paws impacting with the ground. "Boo!" She purred happily, her tail waving in the air high. "What are you doing?" She meowed, she was just dying to know if he was free or not. She wanted to spend time with him, be by his side. Comfort, support, love, kindness. She wanted to be all those things to him. Right then, right now. She tipped her head to one side, smile still playing on her muzzle, as she waited for his answer.
[[ Oops, sorry. She is a white she-cat with green eyes. Hehe. Sorry. I had the feeling she was. ^^' ]]

[oh okay. lol] Barkmask chuckled softly at Meadowpaw's smile. "It's all right. You don't need to be embaressed." He purred, giving the white apprentice a friendly lick on the cheek. "I'm just sunning myself." Barkmask meowed. "But we can go for a walk around the territory if you like." -lost muse halfway in the post.

She flicked her white tail and meowed, "Okay!" Green eyes shinning brightly with beauty. She turned around gracefully, coming to a stop as she looked behind him. "You coming?" She asked with a wide smile.
[[ Ack! Sorry it's so short! ]]

Barkmask stared in awe as the young apprentice spun with so much grace. He shook his head to clear it to calm his nerves. Bright green eyes looked back at him and he felt as if he would be lost in their depthes. "Yes I'm coming, Meadowpaw." He chuckled at the she-cat's excitment. Barkmask padded forward and was next to Meadowpaw in a moment. "Come on." He meowed, flicking his tail towards the entrance. The brown tom walked forward and exited the camp.
